Boating camp is available through a grant program from the U.S. Coast Guard and the Spirit of America organization. Campers will learn about and operate different types and sizes of watercraft as well as participate in water-based activities that provide the opportunity to develop lifelong skills. Based on a “learn by doing” program, campers develop self-esteem, exercise teamwork, safe seamanship, boating and water safety practices, and demonstrate responsibility. Campers will have the opportunity to obtain their NASBLA Boating License and then spend most of their time in and on various watercrafts such as:
- Jet Skis
- Large Powerboats
- Sailboats
- Canoes
- Kayaks.
And because no camp experience is complete without activities like high ropes, shooting sports, and swimming, we schedule time for campers to take a break from boating and enjoy everything else that Millstone has to offer!
